Loie Eva Key was born January 19, 1924 in Wellston, Oklahoma to George and Cleo (Cannon) McLain.  She passed away on May 18, 2017 in Meeker at the age of 93.

Loie was raised in Wellston where she graduated from high school with the class of 1942.  She married Oran G. Key July 20, 1945 and they lived in Ponca City for a number of years.  Loie moved back to Wellston following Oran’s death.  Loie was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Ponca City.  She attended the senior citizens in Wellston and enjoyed listening to gospel music.

Loie is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 40 years, Oran Key; step-daughters, Kay Hampton, Dixie Green; siblings, Sara (Doll) White, Jim McLain, Maudie Hardesty, Joseph McLain, and Thelma Johnson.  Survivors include her brother, Dave McLain of Newalla; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. till 4:00 p.m.  A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 22, 2017 at Lehman Funeral Home with interment following in the Resthaven Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Ponca City.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
