Lane Patrick Ebert was born August 2, 2001 in Oklahoma City to Jay and Laurie (Strickland) Ebert. He passed away June 20, 2019 in Edmond at the age of 17.
Lane grew up in Wellston where he attended school through 5th grade when he moved to Edmond. While in Wellston he joined the cub scouts and later to Boy Scouts of America and loved every adventure. Lane was a member of the Future Farmers of America in Edmond North for 4 years. He was an Explorer with the Edmond Police Department and served 3 years with the ROTC while in school at Edmond North where he graduated with the class of 2019.
Lane enjoyed music and played the base fiddle and guitar. He enjoyed fishing for striper, gaming with the fastest computer available, welding, and working on the farm with his grandfather, Vernon. He was interested in his German heritage with aspirations of traveling to Germany. Lane had recently joined the United States Army with plans to be assigned to an Abrams Tank Squadron.
Lane was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vernon and Lana Ebert. Survivors include his parents, Jay and Laurie Ebert of the home; sister, Angelica Stewart and her husband Joshua; brothers, David Montgomery and his wife Leesa, Michael Ebert and his wife Charlie, Matthew McClurkin, Christopher Ebert; along with many other family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 27, 2019 at the Lehman Funeral Home Chapel with a reception following. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
