Elton Dennis Smith was born December 18, 1945 in Harrah, Oklahoma to James Roy Smith and Edna Earl (Fisher).  He passed away June 25, 2017 in Harrah at the age of 71.

Elton was born and raised on the same family property in Harrah where he spent his entire life.  He was a plumber by trade but his passion was music, fishing and hunting.  His family called him a musician but he called himself an entertainer.  Elton loved his family deeply.  He gave each of them a fishing pole along with many friends so long as they promised to use it.

Elton was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Velda Mathis, Vivian Mathis, Evelyn Mathis, Leon Smith and Loretta Williams.  Survivors include his children, Angela Mischel Dickey and her husband Michael of Broken Arrow, Brian Elton Smith and his wife April of the home; (4) grandchildren, Sierra, Caleb, Andrew, Mandy; (1) great-grandson, Aries; siblings, Lester Smith, Virlon Smith, Thermon Smith, Lajuana Vinson, Herschel Smith; along with other family and friends.

A graveside funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 29, 2017 at the Jamison Cemetery near Meeker.  Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
