Eloise Mae Miller was born August 10, 1923 in Perkins, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of the late Myrl Frank Knox and Margaret Elsie (Grant) Knox. She passed away on November 14, 2019 at her home in Carney at the age of 96.
Eloise married Sanford Miller in 1950 and raised three children (Sue, Richard and Myrl) on their farm in Carney, Oklahoma. She loved spending time with her family, being outdoors and working on her farm, being active in her church, reading and working crossword puzzles. She loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally and they were the center of her world. In her later years, she embraced the joy of having her great-children around her as well. Eloise was smart, funny, honest, loyal and had a spunky personality that we all loved. She brought love, laughter and precious memories to many friends and family members.
Eloise is preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by her children; daughter Sue Packham and husband Dennis of Yukon, son Richard Miller and fiancé Julie Fletcher of Geary, son Myrl Miller and wife Christie of Chandler, seven grandchildren – April Burns and husband Brandon Burns, Landon Miller, Ashley Robertson and husband Tanner, Taylor Miller and wife Jesseca, Tanner Miller, Bailey Miller and Jeff Packham; eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be conducted at Olivet Cemetery in Perkins at Noon on Monday, November 18, 2019, with Rev. Richard Craven officiating. The family will receive friends after the services at First Christian Church in Chandler. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
