Dorothy May Kerns was born March 11, 1932 in Winchester, Virginia to William and Cora Mae Taylor. She passed away on August 2, 2017 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 85.

Dorothy enjoyed find-a-word puzzles, spending time watching television, talking on the phone and spending time with her dog, Baby. She was a member of the Country Faith Church in Meeker.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Earl Kerns; (5) brothers, George Taylor, Charles Taylor, William “Billy” Taylor, Louis Taylor, Linwood Taylor; (2) sisters, Mary Riley, Arlene Taylor. Survivors include; daughter, Debbie and her husband, Clyde Burger of Chandler; grandson, Michael Walters and his wife Misty of Paden; (2) great-grandchildren, Cotton Walters and Naudia Walters; along with numerous other family members who will cherish her memory.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 4, 2017 at the Country Faith Church in Meeker with interment following in the New Hope Cemetery in Meeker. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
