Doris Izora Parrott was born December 7, 1931 in Tallulah, Oklahoma to James and Mary (Stansberry) Gross. She passed away in Edmond, Oklahoma on February 22, 2017 at the age of 85.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray Eldon Parrott; and 10 siblings. Survivors include her children, David Parrott and his wife Reneau of Oklahoma City, Sheri and her husband O.V. Shoemaker of Edmond; (3) grandsons, Ryan, Chad & Kyle; (9) great-grandchildren; twin brother, Elvin Gross of San Diego, California.

Doris and Ray lived and raised their family in Tonkawa. She was a member of the Tonkawa First Christian Church. Together with her husband Ray, they owned and operated an oil field business for many years. After Ray’s death, Doris moved and worked for the Department of Human Services in Enid and Tulsa.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
