Carroll Jean Savage was born October 11, 1938 in Carney, Oklahoma to Orval Glen and Pearl Izola (Goggin) Best. She passed away October 14, 2019 in Newalla at the age of 81.
Carroll grew up in Carney where she graduated from high school with the class of 1956. Soon after graduation Carroll married Lonnie Savage and they shared 60 years together. She worked at the Carney Main Street Café, Oklahoma State University, and Ralph’s Packing Plant in Perkins where she retired after over 25 years. Carroll enjoyed thrift stores, garage sales, antique malls, and collecting everything Coca-Cola. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Carroll is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 60 years, Lonnie Savage; sister, Geraldine Skaggs; and her brother, Norman G. Best. Survivors include her sons, Richard Savage of Carney, Glen Savage and his wife Linda of Newalla, Jeffry Savage of Carney; (5) grandchildren; (10) great-grandchildren; and many other family and friends.
A funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 19, 2019 in the Lehman Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in the Carney Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
