Bobby Ray Piercy was born July 22, 1945 in New Albany, Indiana to Virgil and Irene (Powers) Piercy. He passed away March 19, 2019 in Chandler, Oklahoma at the age of 73.
Bobby grew up in Duncan, Oklahoma where he graduated high school in 1963. He proudly served his country in the United States Army for 8 years. Bobby loved his horses, his dogs, and a good bargain. He enjoyed drinking coffee at the café in Bixby with his friends.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Irene Piercy; brother, Jerry Piercy; and sister, Sharon Myers. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Shelia (Lewis) Piercy of the home; children, Melissa Danker and her husband Calvin of Wellston, Dustin Piercy and his wife Kelli of Bixby; (5) grandchildren, Beth, Becky, Beau, Jentrie, Jacey; (2) great-grandchildren, MacKenna, Magnolia and one more on the way, Maverick; siblings, Sue Cosino and husband Sam of Lawton, Virgil Piercy and wife Ketti of Duncan, Ronda Piercy of Cache; along with other family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at the family’s home at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 24, 2019 (920162 S 3350 Rd, Wellston, OK 74881). Donations can be made in Bobby’s honor to support Alzheimer’s research at www.curealzfund.org/.
