Bessie Glendola (Gray) Dalrymple was born January 14, 1921 in Jamestown, South Dakota to Zola May (Grant) Gray and George Gray.  She went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at the age of 96.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Zola; her husband, Leslie E; and daughter, Judith Zola Martin.  Survivors include her children, Lester A Dalrymple and wife Sherry, Zona (Jane) and husband Jesse Melot, both of Jones, OK, Betsy and her husband, Larry Grant of OKC, OK; (9) Grandchildren, Lejeia Henry and husband Ronald Jr., Lester D. Dalrymple and wife Courtney,   Shanna Lea Fuqua, Michael Melot and his wife, Shannon, Kevin Dalrymple and his wife, Renee’, Stefanie Grant-Cassel, Leslie Grant, Leah Grant, and Nathan Grant;  (18) great-grandchildren, Deven Melot and wife Lauryn, Brianna Nunley, Mandrale Henry, Alixahndrea Wallace and husband Nic, Hunter Nunley, Riley Fuqua, Samuel Melot, Vera Fuqua, McKenna Henry, Kennedy Henry, Braiden Dalrymple, Soleia Nunley, Emma Melot, Krinson Dalrymple, Savannah Nunley, Sheles Dalrymple, Izabella Fuqua, and Vladik Cassel;  (2) great-great grandchildren, Caiden Davis and Cambri Wallace. 

Bessie was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother.  She never turned away a child that had lost their way or needed a temporary home.  Her beautiful sweet smile, infectious laughter, funny facial expressions, and sassy personality were adored by those closest to her.  She loved and cared for many pets over the years including a monkey, white mice, goats, dogs, cats, birds, Joe the crow, and the legendary Tom Turkey.  She always had a special treat for any kids that wandered her direction on Dalrymple Hill.  She will be greatly missed! We look forward to the day when we are all eternally reunited. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 24, 2017 at the Luther Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
