Barbara Jo Cashion was born July 13, 1962 in Oklahoma City to Jack Cashion and Nancy (Overstreet).  She passed away February 26, 2017 in Wellston at the age of 54.  Barbara grew up in a loving home in Spencer, Oklahoma with her three siblings.  She enjoyed writing poetry and short stories as well as drawing and other crafts.  She also enjoyed growing flowers and spent time operating a landscaping business.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Nancy; husband, Dale Simms; and one infant grandson.  Survivors include her sons, Romeo Cashion of Oklahoma City, Phillip Barker of the home; grandsons, Seth Cashion, Phillip Barker; siblings, Randy Cashion and his wife Jessie of Yukon, Leona Johnson and her husband Ron of McLoud, David Cashion and his wife Trish of Jones; her nephew whom she cared for, Virgil McLain of the home; other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Missionary Baptist Church in Wellston.  Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
