Jeweldene (Duffy) Osburn

Jeweldene (Duffy) Osburn was born September 20, 1934 in Kendrick to Charley and Dolvie (Lewis) Duffy.  She passed away February 19, 2024 in her home in Chandler at the age of 89.

Jeweldene grew up in Kendrick where she attended school graduating with the Kendrick class of 1954.  She married Alvis Osburn and raised a daughter together.  Her enjoyment came from gardening, dancing, fashion and people.  She was a longstanding member of the First Baptist Church of Davenport.  Most of all, she loved spending time with her great-grandchildren.

Jeweldene was preceded in death by her parents, Charley and Dolvie Duffy; husband of nearly 64 years, Alvis Osburn; sister, Charlene Phillips; and her brother, Charles “Sam” Duffy.  Survivors include her daughter, Jonita Phipps and her husband Curtis; (2) grandchildren, Jade Phipps, Dax Phipps and his wife Jennifer all of Chandler; (2) great-grandchildren, Mia Phipps, Daxton Phipps; brother, Alvie Duffy of Kendrick; along with other family and friends.

A funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2024 in the Lehman Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in the Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler.  Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
