Frank Junior Staley

Frank Junior Staley was born December 31, 1957 in Shawnee to Benjamin Franklin and Edna Leona (Downey) Staley.  He passed away February 15, 2024 in Norman at the age of 66.

From the time Frank was a kid he always loved to make people smile.  From tumbling down the stairs in a closed box and scaring his sisters to pieces, to traipsing through the woods with little sisters in tow, to cut the yearly family Christmas tree, to later becoming a cheerleader while attending high school in Coyle, OK.

Frank was generous man who was always giving to everyone whom he encountered. He was a framing carpenter by trade and blessed many people with his talent and his giving heart. Frank also loved to fish anytime he could and if asked, he always had a fish story to tell. But of all the things that brought him joy, being grandpa was at the top of the list. He enjoyed spending time with, teaching and loving his grandchildren and his great-granddaughter.

Frank moved to Wellston his senior year graduating with the Wellston Class of 1976 and married his high school sweetheart the following year. During the next 45 years together, they raised two children growing their family to later love five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Edna Staley; brothers, Carrol and Charles Staley; infant granddaughter, Carmen; and his brother-in-law, Harley DeVore.  Survivors include his wife, Teresa (Fredrickson) Staley of the home; children, Josh Staley of Macomb, Stormey Staley of McLoud; five grandchildren, Conner, Heaven, Trinity, Paxton, Dakota; great-granddaughter, Melody; sister-in-law, Sharon Staley; siblings, Shirley DeVore, Leona Wood, Margaret Whitworth, Jerold Staley, Lawrence Staley, Betty Huff and husband Steve, Patty Ferrell and husband Donnie; along with other family and friends.

Frank’s family will host a visitation at the funeral home Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm.  A funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 22, 2024 at the Trinity Baptist Church with interment following in the Wellston Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
