Wanda Carolyn Denwalt-Herring was born July 13, 1953 in Fort Worth, Texas to Marion Alfred (Bob) and Martha Jean (Fowler) Jenkins. She passed away February 22, 2018 in Stroud, Oklahoma at the age of 64.
Carolyn was loved by everyone for her child like innocence. Everyone went to her for advice including her older brothers and sisters. She had a pure love for her family, second only to her love for God. She was filled with patience and loved being surrounded by her family. Carolyn enjoyed a long career driving a truck across country while becoming a talented Pokémon Hunter.
Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Fred Riebe, and Roy Riebe. Survivors include her first husband and now best friend as well as the love of her life, David Thomas Denwalt; children, David Denwalt, II and his wife Meleah of Kansas, Frances Welch and her husband Tracy of Davenport, Jeremy Denwalt and his wife Amy of Chandler, Jason Denwalt and his wife Skye of Kansas; (13) grandchildren, Faith, Malinda, Levi, Alicia, Cassandra, Cameron, Alexis, Chase, Tristan, Jayden, Jaimi, Ruby, Piper; (9) great-grandchildren, Emilie, Kira, Emma, Lily, Alice, Sofia, G’nae, Hunter, Emily; siblings, Craig Herring and his wife Evana of Arkansas, Barbara Herring of South Carolina, Michael Jenkins and his wife Susan of Texas, Bobbie and her husband Jeff Murphy of North Carolina; along with many other family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2018 at the Trinity Baptist Church of Wellston with interment to follow in the Wellston Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
