I finally was able to visit this page as we are about to come up on the one year anniversary of losing Dad so i do apologize for the late reply. I hate it that i feel like there were family members/friends that did not get to come because of it all happening so fast! Shoot, there are days it's hard to deal with the fact that he really is gone! I miss him so much!

Here is the letter i wrote him that the preacher attempted to read at his service.

Dear Dad,

For all the things you taught me, you left one thing out! You forgot to tell me how to go on without you! You taught me to love, forgive, admit when I’m wrong, help others, be strong and to try to be someone you could be proud of!

I want you to know~ I am happy for you. I have no doubt that Mom welcomed you with open arms! Charlie probably broke out the cards and coffee….Grandma and Grandpa are so happy to see the fine son they raised …and of course, Ross is probably bursting with all the B.S. he’s been waiting to tell you!

But as you used to say….Having to tell you goodbye is a tough pill to swallow!!

I want you to know that I loved you like no other! As far as I’m concerned~ you rode a white horse, you were my knight in shining armor who could slay ALL the dragons! You took a piece of my heart with you!

I’ll try to be strong and carry on like you raised me to do, but please know…You will NEVER be forgotten. You were the BEST DAD EVER!!!

I love you, Daddy!!
