We so wanted to be with you today, and truly regret that we were unable to attend.  We extend our heartfelt prayers to all members of the family and will continue to do so.  Bishop said that Shala is not in your past.  She is in your future.  She was very special to us and he still has the spurs that she gave him.  She said that she won them in a rodeo and had them hanging up, but that he was the reason that she had held on to them.  We will hold her in our hearts until me meet in eternity.  We love you all very much.

Isaiah 57:1 57 The righteous perishes,
And no man takes it to heart;
Merciful men are taken away,
While no one considers
That the righteous is taken away from evil.
2 He shall enter into peace;

The passage of time and the path of life may have put a distance between us in recent years, however, the distance was never in my heart. My life was incontrovertibly changed for the better because of the love and kindness Shala gave to me. Absent she may be but never will she be forgotten and never will the memories of her dim.

The news has been heartbreaking for those of us left here to try and make sense of such a tragic loss. Her smile, her electric for our Lord was consuming for anyone who ever spent just a few minutes with her.  I am going to miss every bit of her "electric". She has made the journey we all hope to make some day- May God comfort you Bruce and your entire family, may he give you the strength to hold up your family and let the prayers of many hold you and lift  you up.  Many prayers for many days, weeks and months are sent your way. Thank you for sharing her with us as well.

A many of angels have come into our life unaware. God loaned an angel, Shala, to us for 44 years. It has been an honor and privilege to know someone of great inner strength and such a sweet spirit. Brother Bruce and family, words cannot express my heart felt sorrow in your loss. I pray that you allow God to comfort you in your times of grieving and wrap His tender loving arms around you that He may quicken your spirit and bring you assurance that Shala is in the hands of the Almighty God.

Britney, Nikki, Melissa, Josiah and family,

I am so sorry for the loss of your mother, wife and daughter.  There are no words to express what you are feeling because I've been there before and words just don't really help ease the pain in your heart.  Even though we know she would love to have stayed  here with you, we know she was prepared spiritually for where she is now. Take comfort in knowing she is where she taught other people to prepare themselves for.  Her name was written in the book of life and she dances with the Angels.

I am deeply sorry for your loss.  Shala was a remarkable woman, with an awesome spirit. May you sense His tender words being spoken to your heart.  "I am your God, and I will be your comfort."  You are in my heart, my thoughts, and my prayers.  "Bless be God, even the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort."  II Corinthians 1:3
