Two years and I miss you more than ever. I find doing life without you nearly impossible. Our wedding vows may have ended with, “until death do us part”, but I will love you until death takes me too. Loving you more over here, always.

Sam was a friend and a heck of a Policeman. We worked together at Wilshire Patrol Division. Sam was always laughing and gave me a nickname. He saw me lifting weights in the locker room then later he didnt know I had gotten promoted to P-3 (Training Officer) When I showed up for roll call with my new P-3 stripes. he laughed real hard and stated loudly, Ironman whats that on your arm. I was ironman to him for the rest of the time I knew him He was a great guy.

My heart is heavy as I just learned of Sam's passing. I will always remember this kind, gentle man who was so supportive and kind all those years ago at Wilshire. He was a kind and genuine nice person and always a gentleman. I often thought of him after he retired and relocated to Oklahoma. My condolences to Susan and his family. RIP dear friend.

Bruce came into my life at a perfect time. He provided guidance through a few rocky times in my personal life. In addition, his professional insight was very much needed and appreciated. His humor and story telling also made work fun. I have used his guidance throughout my career for myself and others. A true life mentor. God bless all friends and family.

I worked with Sam at the "Fed" for twelve years. Sam was a good leader and I would have followed him anywhere.

"Sam" Bass, one of the true mentors in my life that has helped make me who I am today. His strong character and ethics continue to shape the lives of our younger generations as his teachings are carried on by all who he mentored. May god bless the Bass family and know that "Sam" is on duty in heaven continuing his legacy of honor.

I worked with Sam at the Federal Reserve Bank in the Protection Department and was saddened by his passing. I enjoyed our work together at the Fed. He was a very unique and interesting character. He made my duties as his supervisor easier, because of his ethic. Our paths in life were close in that I too served in the Marines, followed that with the Los Angeles Police Department. I didn't know him in either of those professions, but our paths crossed at the Federal Reserve Bank. I know I surely missed out in the other crossings. God bless you as his family. Sam left a lot of pleasant memories along his journey.

Another Oklahoman, Will Rodgers, once said "I never me a man I didn't like".
That is how Sam led his life. Heaven is a better place today with him in it.
