Ronald (Ronnie) Wilbur Berry, 74, was born September 14, 1942 in Davenport to W.P. and Hazel Nina Louise (Campbell) Berry.  He passed away May 9, 2017 at his home in Chandler with his family at his side.

At 3 years of age Ronnie moved with his family from Davenport to a farm North of Chandler.  He attended grade school at Union and continued his education at Chandler Schools.  After an educational “break” at which time he worked on the wheat harvest, he graduated from Kendrick High School in 1962.

Ronnie married Colene Munson on Valentine’s Day 1963 in Amarillo, Texas.  He worked as a roughneck in the oilfield, at Robberson Steel, and for Art Leffingwell in Chandler.  He later became a member of the local 344 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union.  After that he started Ronnie’s Tile and Plumbing and was its owner/operator until his retirement. Ronnie did plumbing for many homes and businesses in the Chandler area.  He enjoyed riding and training horses and loved to teach his grandchildren how to count cattle.  Ronnie was presently a member of the Central Church of Christ in Shawnee.  He led singing in church all of his life and also drove the church bus giving many folks a ride to worship.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, Phelps and Hazel Berry; infant brother, Phil Julius Berry, sister, Elva Francene Patterson; and great-granddaughter, Brayley Dawn Goodman.  Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Colene (Munson) Berry; daughters, Kimberly Kay (Berry) Gantz and husband Michael, Janetta (Berry) Goodman and husband Troy, LaDonna Berry and husband Sid Hayes; grandchildren, Chance Goodman and wife Ashley, Colt Goodman and wife Lacey, Chelsie Goodman Wilson and husband Jason, Toby Hayes, Joey Hayes, and Levi Hayes; great-grandchildren, Rylinn Estes, Kylie Goodman, Kamber Goodman, Cash Goodman, Cooper Goodman, Nova Wilson, and Letty Wilson; brother, Clyde Berry and wife Linda; sister, Phyllis Burns; along with other family and many friends.

A funeral will be held at 3:00 Saturday, May 13, 2017 at the Lehman Funeral Home Chapel with a private interment following at a later date.  Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
