Ronald Christian Smith

Ronald Christian Smith was born October 22, 1963 to Ronald Smith and Sharon Kay (Christian) McWhorter.  He passed away April 3, 2018 in Oklahoma City at the age of 54.

Ron grew up in Wellston where he graduated with the class of 1981.  He then joined the Marine Corps and proudly served for 6 years.  Ron most recently owned and operated a trucking business traveling across the country.  While driving, he raised pit bull puppies.  Ron found joy in taking care of his dogs and rising multiple litters of puppies while traveling.  He lived life his own way.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents; survivors include his brother, Tim McWhorter and wife Bethany of Tulsa; along with other family and friends. A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 9, 2018 at the Wellston Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
