Jess Donald Wilkson was born September 3, 1931 in Sanger to Jess Lewis and Opal Mae (Spears) Wilkson.  He passed away January 2, 2017 in Edmond at the age of 85.

Don served his country honorably in the United States Army and the United States Airforce serving a tour in Korea.  He enjoyed his career driving a truck across America logging well over 4 million miles.  After a long haul he enjoyed coming home to mow his lawn, or just sit on his porch watching his lawn grow.  He played guitar and loved being around people and always had a story to tell.  Don was a hard working honorable man who loved his family and life to the fullest.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, wife Evelyn (Blankenship), son Ronnie Wilkson and his wife Kay; grandchildren, Jessie Wilkson, Ahderay Rose Wilkson, Nikki Fitgerald; siblings, Wesley Wilkson, Richard Wilkson, Warren Wilkson, Mahoda Wilkson, and Lemoin Wilkson.  Survivors include his daughters, Catherine Coover of Carney, Brenda and her husband Rex Bailey of Wellston, Joni and her husband Stew Harding of Colorado; (16) grandchildren; (51) great-grandchildren; (2) great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

A funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2017 at the Trinity Baptist Church with interment following at the Wellston Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
