James Herrold (Jim) Cook was born in Luther, Oklahoma on October 28, 1936 to Herman Ray & Evalind Herrold. He passed away on February 9, 2017 in Wellston at the age of 80 years. Jim graduated from Luther High School class of 1954. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, wood working, farming, bowling and going to the casino. James also enjoyed traveling in the RV and loved life.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wayne Cook, and Herman Cook, Jr. Survivors include, wife of 40 years, Carlee Cook of the home; children, John Cook of Harrah, Brent Cook and his wife, Cayla of Wellston, Sharlavan and her husband, Cranford  Cook of Little Elm, Texas; (4) grandchildren, Brandon Cook, Brandi Malaski, Cody Cook, Colton Cook; (2) great-grandchildren, Stetson Cook, Collins Malaski; siblings, Leroy Cook and his wife, Karen of Edmond, Ron Cook and his wife, Paulette of Shawnee; sister-in-law, Coleen Cook of Edmond; along with other family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 14, 2017 with interment following in the Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
