Homer Winfred Danker was born on May 27, 1943 at his home in Chandler, Oklahoma to Fred William and Sylvia Clara (Holmes) Danker. He passed away at his home in Wellston on December 28, 2017 at the age of 74.

Homer was a barber and took pride in giving all of his grandchildren their first haircuts. In addition to being a barber, he owned a roofing company for many years serving both Wellston and Chandler. Homer tended a vegetable garden for the majority of his life and found sharing the fruits of his labors very fulfilling. He loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with them, whether that time was spent fishing, or sharing meals around the dinner table.

Homer is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Sylvia and brother, Dale Danker.  Survivors include his high school sweetheart of 54 years, Caroline Danker of the home; children, Kevin Danker and his wife, Tina of Chandler, Lisa and her husband, David Bess, Randall Danker and his wife Neta all of Wellston; (9) grandchildren, Nicole, Nick, Mitchell, Liz, Emilee, Toby, Gage, Cash, and Paisley; (10) great-grandchildren, Austin, Lukas, Kody, Breona, Jamal, Heaven, Neveah, Bailey, Jakobe, Easton; (8) siblings, Mae Zella Bailey, Gladys Sullivan, Roy Danker, Eldon Danker, Edward Danker, Freddie Danker and Clara Hayes; along with other family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 31, 2017 in the Lehman Funeral Home chapel.  Visitation will be held Saturday from noon till 7:00 p.m.  Homer's family will welcome friends from 5:00 till 7:00 p.m.  Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
